KINSMAN: This complex dark roast has a sweet roasted marshmallow aroma, with notes of caramelized sugar in the cup with a distinct cocoa-toned cherry pie finish. This coffee is USDA Certified Organic and Certified Fair Trade.

SMOOTH TASTE: The pleasant aromas and rich, smooth taste of this coffee derive from daily small-batch test-roasting and patient, slow-roasting to highlight optimal flavor notes and assure consistency in every cup.
ETHICALLY SOURCED: We dedicate this coffee to farmer equity programs like LIFT - a life-changing resource that helps to assure fair working conditions, access to healthcare, and clean water while providing free agro-education for coffee farmers to promote sustainability.
EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES: A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this coffee go to Mission St. Louis. Mission St. Louis is a relationship-based program that empowers entire families to break the cycle of poverty.
Although said to be medium roast, to me it tastes like a light roSt. And I tried using added tablespoon of coffee.Strong and smooth.Quality Coffee. Not burnt flavorless mainstream junkThis coffee is one that I'm trying for the first time. I'm really enjoying it. This Guatemala is rich tasting with a hint of spice. I didn't get the blackberry undertone but I did detect a hint of cinnamon-anyway it's flavorful. I like that it's cultivated without harmful pesticides and in small batches. The company also donates a portion of the proceeds to St. Louis House. Good all around! Will not purchase againI was soooo disappointed with this coffee. It was supposed to be Hazelnut & Sweet Toffee flavor. I knew from the minute I opened the bag it was not going to taste the way I anticipated. I pretty much always buy Hazelnut coffee as it is my favorite. When I opened this bag, there was not even a hint of Hazelnut aroma. I thought I would make a pot & maybe the flavor would develop. No such luck. It was totally bland!! Also, it calls for 2 tablespoons of coffee for each 6 oz. cup. In my 12 cup coffeemaker, that would require 24 Tbs., which did not fit in the basket. In any event, if you're browsing for coffee, just keep going when you come across this brand.DislikeI enjoyed this Kinsman medium roast (I would say it's on the dark side of medium). I don't have a super sophisticated palette and have a hard time picking out specific notes in coffee but could taste the sweet flavors in this. My husaband prefers a true dark roast so he didn't enjoy this as much as I did but found it drinkable.
