The mechanism is very smooth. Works better than the grinders that spices come in at the grocery store. It’s worth it to use this and it’s refillable.Hard to keep the grinder part on track. Must be adjusted every time we use it which is daily up to 3 times a dayIt's very easy to use, but does not come with peppercorns so make sure you have some. There is only one grind, but it's coarse enough and just fine enough for everyday use. Can't beat the price. You might want a fancier one for company with more particular guests but this suits me fine (single old man !).Great difficulty using this tool.AnI inexpensive mill that is fine for Himalaya saltI gave this grinder to 2 people as gift and both use them for Himalaya salt and are very very pleasedI love this for daily use. I had lost one of these (don't ask, lol) and being able to purchase just one is so convenient. They are priced so I can use them for all my different salts and pepper.Coarse grind. The top has only takes about one turn to put on or take off which makes it a little close to being able to inadvertently unscrew it and dumping a whole lot of peppercorns into your dish. Also, the little lid has to be taken off completely to use the mill and set down somewhere; who needs that?One of the only Salt mills I could find that you could screw the top on and off. Now I can grind my sea salt without buying a new bottle everytime.
