I love the gadget, once I figured out how to set it up.In my personal case using the WPS button via Talk Talk: the instructions did not completely work as described- plug in near router, wait till the power light is solid blue . Then press the big connector button on the TP gadget- pressed the WPS button several times on my router until both were communicating- got 2.4 GHz working but NEVER 5GHz- the Ext-name disappeared -> weird- connected my Phone to my router network as no TP link visible any more- opened the Tether app and manually set up 5GHz- only then was I able to add new custom names to the invisible Ext-name, which then appeared in the WiFi networksAll in all, in future and to save my nerves, WON'T use the WPS button, just use the app and manually type in password of your router.Maybe other routers work straight away with the TP-link.I like that you can set a timer to switch off the LEDs at night and the app to check the best distance.important for me was the great range compared to my old HUAWEI repeater.What I despised was that I had to register with my email address-> HORROR unacceptable with GDPR . A real con. I will move anything to spam and blacklist them.
