Good for all indian mixer needs.I have received the productThis is a noisier and expensive version of the Indian Preethi mixer grinder. The steel casing and the led knob lights looks fancy and is easy to clean. The grinder is heavy and sits well.Part of the reason for noise is probably its blunt blades which also requires higher cycle time. The jar quality is good but larger jars do not have lid-locks, which essentially means you have to keep the lid closed with your hand all the time. The grinder vibrates a lot so if you take your hands off, the lid will fly away. Its an irony, that the company advertises a safety lock for the jar to operate the grinder. Essentially there is push button which needs to press for the grinder to activate but there is no lock for the jars. Probably users are not at risk from things flying from within the jar :)Lets see if this one last long, as with the amount of noise and vibration, I doubt the plastic housing will hold the motor for long.Well i read a lot of negative comments but i have been using it for almost over a month now n its just amazing. Yeah it makes loud noise while grinding or mixing but all the indian mixers do that so it's not a negative point. I will be reviewing again if there's na issue but so far soo good. Loved it. N totally worth the money. Would always recommend it if someone asks.Makes lot of nice, otherwise it is working great.I got problem with this mixi,They got fixed without charging anything extra within warranty period.I like the network they have for fixing this in NJ locally.Used this mixer grinder for making chutneys, dosa and idly batter. So far it lived to its expectations. I would recommend this product. Delivery was on time as promised. We had been using blender to make chutneys but for the real potential to make Indian authentic style batter, we thought this would be a good choice and it so far is proving us correct. We use this to grind different spices varying from cardamon to tumeric. The build is good and the steel finish makes it easy to clean. You can simply wipe with a clean cloth and it's sparkles.Unlike most mixer Grindr a dejar needs to be fixed properly for it to switch on and there is a little difficulty in removing the jar after you finish but you'll get used to it as you do it .The small jar grinds almost anything, I use it to grind my chili powder and other spices that I require. I use it on an everyday basis so its pretty study .I used to medium size chart for making battery and it takes around 15 to 20 minutes to make two three pounds. It's size makes it possible to sit at the corner and the wire can nicely be wrung around. The packaging was good and it's really worth the price.I live in US and purchased this online like 4months ago and I just opened this like a week ago after moving to our new home, just by switching on once, the mixer worked for few mins and suddenly stopped. I tried clicking on the bottom button of mixer many times but it still didnt work. Spending that huge amount online to purchase is just waste on this. I am highly disappointed with this.I had to buy this product as my wife was adamant on Indian mixer, She had this feeling that the Canadian mixer are not blending properly, This was almost 200 CAD. Actual worth of this mixer should not more than 75 Dollars. The plastic is so bad. There is Jar for which the handle is shaking because screw was not fixed properly and we cannot tighten the screw because it has gone inside the plastic which was suppose to hold it. The Jar is a Manufacturing defect. Now it is so painful to return as i need to go to canada post and send it for return and wait for few days for refund and again search for another mixer, so we are leaving with it. I suggest people think thrice before you buy Preeti mixer. Dont get carried away try all the canadian mixer and still you need then think it.wonderful product bought it for use in canada , where voltage is 110volts. not for india homes having 230vPreethi mixer grinder is well know product of India and must have in every Indian family. I'm happy to see this product is available in amazon.ca. The price is almost equal lent to INR.Pros:1. Good product and lasts very long2. Price is almost equal lent to INR3. 110v with 550w motor4. Useful for grinding all types of Indian masalas and bater (Idli, Dosa, Uttapam etc.,)5. Jars are made of good grade steel6. There is an extra lid which can be used as juicer and converts 1.5 ltr jar to 1tr. (Smart idea)7. There are 2 small lids which can be used for transferring chutnery directly into it and serve after grinding.8. The bottom rubber holds the unit firm while grindingCons:1. Motor sound is quite loud (Well..Nothing new about it)2. Design, finish, look and feel is not appealing (looks really bad). Preeti has to come up with good design and finish (I like the steele model more than this)3. Motor body is plastic and not high qualityThe product is quite rugged and effective for dry and wet grinding. The grinding and blending operations are quickly completed.Drawbacks are excessive noise and difficulties in unlatching jars from the mixie after use.
