The grinder I had didn't have a handle on it, you just turn the entire top. This one has a handle, it is only meant to go clockwise, there's a spring on the handle that allows it to lay down. Because of the spring and the handle you can't really overfill it. But once you get the right amount in there it works well. Everything's metal except for the see-through window on top. It also comes with a little scraper that's in the bottom of the grinder. And personally, I think it looks really cool because of the coloring. But overall works great.
