Been making knives for years.Never used a jig because they were relatively expensive and I flat out didn't need one - I can do just fine by hand and eye... But that's not a fast process. Now orders are backing up and you know what? I took this thing for a test drive and I think...I think I am going to let it make me lazy! Not saying instant perfect grind - I'll still have to do a fair bit of touching up - but it ain't too shabby in it's results. Will save me a lot of time.Price was really good.Well put together.Well thought out.Good packaging.Shipped quick. No instructions but it ain't exactly rocket science and the pics and video on Amazon are pretty self explanatory. I looked at Amazon, put it together and mounted a blade in 10 or 15 minutes. No real learning curve unless you're new - I went to work with it right away and got to say I am pretty happy with the results. About 20 minutes compared to 2 hours or so I would have spent free handing it.Good tool.Definently recommending it for us old time snobs who are getting lazy lol.
