I remember when a big grinder from Sharpstone was about $50. Now i'm here spending the same amount on a grinder that is so small that I can barely hold it properly. Ground herb is almost impossible to remove without dumping the whole thing out. Not for volume grinding, but does a great job. No kief storage, but that would make it bigger.It's a little bit small for my big hands but it does grind well as long as you don't overpack it. Am probably going to by larger size of same product, I like it so much.This is ether an impressive knock off, or it’s made of reject parts.It came oily and dirty like it skipped Santa Cruz’s cleaning process. There are several Scratches In the finish throughout the inside.The top part is definitely the worst. The logo is printed off center. Then on the under side there is a large chip missing in the finish. I’m worried it’s going to continue to flake blue in to the grind.Other then that it’s still a reasonable price for the design. It still functions just fine. If you’re looking for a half the price half the quality grinder, it’s a good deal.Man, I was so pumped to get this grinder and it finally came today and it looks like it's from the "not good enough for retail display" pile. There are a bunch of flaws, nicks, and damage to the treads. Like it had been rolling around in the back of a truck with the threads exposed. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the finish for a $40 grinder, kinda pissed actually. My cheapo chinese grinder looks nicer than this one.If you're about to drop $40 on this grinder, don't buy it from Santa Cruz on Amazon. Find one at a local shop (if you have one that sells these, I don't) and thoroughly inspect it in person.Ridiculous. What a buzz kill.Update 1/8/22: contacted the seller about this issue and the seller stated they'll replace the grinder. I'll update on the quality of the replacement when I receive it.Best grinder i ever owned worth it!Excellent Grinder. Very smooth action. Seems to be well made. Tight fitting.
