The steel heads seem pretty well made, substantial enough and likely to last. The entire thing feels reasonably solid and unlikely to fall apart. The wooden handle end is a nice touch that feels good in the hand when grinding. The propeller thing that looks cool in the pictures does absolutely nothing and is of no use.The grind size setting at the bottom of the grinder is annoying to use because it doesn't have hard stops at the top and bottom end of the range. When I first set it up, I wanted to make espresso so I set it for what I thought was the finest setting, only to find that I had essentially shut the thing entirely so no ground coffee ended up in the little cup. I ground and ground and never got anywhere. Eventually I figured out that there are probably 30-40 different possible settings even though the markings suggest only about 10. And it is very difficult to tell where you actually are in that range. You know one way is coarser and one way is finer, but you just have to experiment until you find the right grind. However, I did eventually find the correct grind setting after some extended fiddling. Once I did, I was very pleased with the results, the coffee seemed pretty evenly ground and I had no issues pulling a good shot from the ground coffee it produced, and it is large enough to make a proper shot that fills a regular portafilter.I didn't have issues washing it, and the grinder didn't rust when exposed to water so it does genuinely appear to be stainless steel.Could you use this every day? Probably. It looks likely to hold up if you expect to use it a lot.I rarely make coffee with a french press, so I didn't try to test that. Once I found the right setting for espresso I didn't want to mess with the grind settings again. I assume it will get coarse enough, but this is very much a thing where you figure out where it is making the correct grind and then leave it alone, I would not buy this if I was regularly going to be changing the grind settings dramatically. I think it will be fine to tweak it slightly with different beans for espresso but I would not want to be using it for both french press and espresso regularly.Could you travel with this? Yes. But I think it sits more towards "I'm more durable and less likely to break" vs. "I am the smallest, lightest grinder in the world". I suspect you could find something a bit lighter, which might not be quite as chunky and durable as this one will likely be.Overall, for the price, it is fine. It is ideal as a basic backup grinder for when the power goes out, etc. This product is very well built. I don't like it that it has a plastic body. but the internal parts are all CNC machined stainless steel double bearing very sturdy and well built. It grinds very quickly. The only downside is the plastic body static electricity is produced while grinding. Causes all the coffee grounds to stick to the plastic from the static electricity. I did learn a handy trick to drop a few drops of water in the top with the whole beans prior to grinding. This actually worked really well does make a little bit of a mess but you have to clean the grinder anyway. It's very light easy to pack. I am a truck driver and I purchase this so that I can get a good cup of coffee anytime. It will serve this purpose well The only thing aside from the plastic body that I do not like is when you remove the handle it leaves the top completely open would be great if there is a cap of some sort that you could put over it. I would definitely recommend this grinder. I have experience with multiple other types of grinders and as far as construction I believe this is one of the better built ones I've used that are designed for travel.I bought this, as a gift, for my son to have with him during his deployment. So far he’s LOVED it!The bearings make it easier and faster to grind than my old hand grinder did. I'm actually glad my old one broke so i could find this one and suffer less arthritis pain :)Grinds very well and quickly for a manual grinder. Takes about 100 rotations to fully grind two 1/8 cup scoops, about 70-75 turns for an Aeropress size scoop.Excelente molino, buen rendimiento y calidad para su precio.Excellent! Easy to use and fastGood ?I've been using this hand grinder for about a year now and have no complaints about it. It still looks the same as the first time I've used it. Yes it has a plastic body, but it is high density plastic and feels very robust. I really don't think that an aluminum body would feel any better. It is easy to take apart to clean. It is much quieter than most electric grinders, which allows me to prepare a cup of coffee in the early morning without waking the entire household. The size is great with a canister large enough to grind enough coffee for two cups when I fill be bean chamber. The only issue I've had with it is that it did not come with a cleaning brush. Firstly, others have said it's hard to clean and lots of static. Yes, there is static but it's notthat big a deal and it's actually super easy to take apart and clean. It's as simple as turning the grind size dial until it comes apart. For me, the size is perfect to fit in my hands and it's not tiring like our big grinder.Really happy with this grinder.Un producto que pagas menos por un magnífico desempeño, cambiando ciertos detalles de metal por plástico, pero dejando el corazón metálico super afilado, para una molienda uniforme!! Ampliamente recomendadoInternals are the same as more expensive grinders so performance should be the same and I am happywith how it grinds, the body being made of plastic may provide some problems down the track longterm, a metal body would have been better but over all I am happy with my purchase.
