I have a similar set - my second set as the first one required 4 AAA batteries per grinder! What?!? So I found the USB type - so much easier to power up and the charge lasts forever. I got another USB set for my youngest son who loves to cook and man, he went crazy over them! I guess until you have and use them, you don't realize just how nice it is to be able to grab the pepper or salt, upend it and it grinds away without you doing anything other than holding it upside down! The fine/coarse grind is easy to dial in and with peppercorns and salt "rocks" I'm happy with mine. This set is for my daughter who is NOT a cook, but her husband loves to cook - he has a nice large, Italian espresso machine and plays barista to my daughter who is an espresso fiend! Anyway, his loves to cook and because they are both vegetarians, his meals are more of a challenge at times, to make for others aside from just them. Having lots of herbs and spices work, but I know with this set, he is going to be thrilled - I bought multicolor peppercorns and Himalayan coarse salt crystals so as soon as he gets both grinders charged, I'm sure he'll be planning a meal using these grinders! Definitely a thoughtful gift - especially those who have arthritis in their hands like me. These are perfect!Easy to use and charge.I had been looking for a set of automatic salt & pepper grinders but there's so many choices. I was originally fine with automatic grinders that use batteries but decided I wanted to go with USB rechargeable instead. Unfortunately there's not as many choices for the USB version but I did find this set. Also, there's a button to press before turning the grinder upside down. I had others wirh no controls and have accidentally grinded all over the counter from tipping them over, not this set though.First I immediately noticed that they hold a full charge for a good amount of time even with daily use. Additionally I saw that it is a very consistent grind versus having chunks fall out like I have had others do before. Plus, these have lights like most due but it's a very clean white light, kind of like a (daylight shade) bulb that you can buy for lights. Lastly, I don't hear these struggle or get stuck like some others have before.In closing, I absolutely love this set of 2 grinders and for sure highly recommend this package!!!This is my second set of grinders. I like these much better than my battery operated ones. They work flawlessly! I haven’t had to charge them yet after 3 weeks, so they seem to hold their charge. I like these better than the battery operated ones because the batteries used to shift and we would have to take it back apart all the time to fix them. I have had no issues at all with these. They are easy to fill and I love the no button design. You simply turn the shaker over and it starts grinding. When you turn it back right side up it quits grinding. It doesn’t get much easier. I also like the stainless color choice as it matches my appliances and matches my decor when left on the countertops. I have no complaints and would recommend this set. I am buying extras for gifts.Everyone should have a set of these Savorliving Gravity Electric Salt and Pepper Grinders. They are fantastic and are so convenient to use when cooking. They are USB Rechargeable which is even better, no need for batteries. They work great and even have an LED light that turns on when using them. The packaging is nice - they would make an excellent gift too.
