I like the size of the unit overall. As it fits good in the hand! It is not to loud, as to not scar your pet so much.I think it could use a more aggressive grit on the stone wheel. As it takes a long time to get any results on each nail. The batteries are hard to put in the compartment, not user friendly. Removal, I can see will be a whole other issue. The battery cover has a small tip Philip head screw to hold it closed. I think this is overkill, as a slide and click type cover would do just fine. The speed is good, but is easily slowed down by any excessive pressure. Again if the grit was bigger to be more aggressive than it is. I think it would be a more efficient tool. I found it took along time to get done with each nail. And my pet lost all patience, before I could finish even the first paw!It is light weight and easy on my arthritic handsMy apology ! I especially THANK YOU for rapid delivery . . . really needed your product.When I got this grinder I was a little skeptical. But when I tried it along with the regular nail trimmer on my 90 lb Yellow Lab, it worked like a charm. There is a small learning curve to determine the speed and angle especially if you have not used grinders in the past. Motor is powerful enough to get the job done. I can't comment on the battery yet as I have only used it twice and I have not have to replace the batteries yet.Not as powerful as I would like but ok for my maltipoo. To put in the batteries, you must unscrew the teensiest little screw the world has ever seen! If you are visually impaired, or just plain clumsy, it is impossible to get that screw out, and/or back in. Fortunately, the grinder works even if the screw happens to fall into the 11th dimension, and I always have duct tape around.Addendum: two months after purchase, I am a good deal less happy with this product. My dog is large, with thick nails: after the first filing, the wheel began to slow dramatically or stop when I tried to file them. Tried everything: changing batteries, changing speeds, tightened all the parts -- nothing worked. Reread the reviews and have to agree with some of the earlier ones. This is not a product for larger dogs or dogs with strong claws. I'm now using one I purchased through professional groomers, an Oster, and it does the job much better.Takes 4 batteries - not included which is not shown for product. Not very strong and keeps bogging down, so takes forever to get toe nails short enoughVery poor quality....Every time it touches the nail it stops....had to return tge first one but the second one works greatmy second purchase....excellent....
