I have a Kitchenaid Classic stand mixer which I got in 2001. A couple of years ago, my mom gave me her Kitchenaid FGA which she purchased in 1996. Recently, my husband got a deer and wanted to make some venison summer sausage. The FGA my mom gave me did not have a meat pusher. This pusher fit perfectly and my husband used it on about 6lbs of venison. I do think the pusher is hollow, but it is very sturdy.
