This is a quick and accurate tool for setting the spacing between your bench grinding wheel and the tool rest (1/8”) as well as the gap between the wheel and the safety guard (1/4”). It comes in a nice plastic case but with the attached chain and magnet I keep it hanging from a metal shelf bracket right behind my bench grinder so I don't have to look for it whenever I need it. The magnet and chain is a very good idea as is the shape of the tool, which features a flat portion to set upon the tool rest. Handy device indeed for any bench grinder owner.
