DEWALT 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder with One-Touch Guard (DWE4011) - Perfect for Metal Cutting, Grinding & Polishing in Construction & DIY Projects

I gave it 4 stars not 5 only because it's not light, it's solid and on the heavy side,but that's a good thing. They should not have put the weight on the rating Only because heavy is in my eyes a better built tool, let me be clear,it's not heavy but it's not light weight either.I only used it once but can tell it's a good grinder , the shroud is easy to adjust but can't be removed ( that I don't like) to lock it from turning to put on the disc is a little hard to depress but not to hard. And I like the power button, you just have to press it to turn off the power ,now if it last? That's another story. If it lasts that's a great idea if it breaks. That's bad. I have been useing a grinder with no name for over ten years and it worked perfectly until the power switch broke in the on position the last time I used it ,that's when I bought the dewalt grinder. Only time will tell. To sum it up. Yes I will buy it again. They do sell cheaper ones fron harbor freight and I'm sure they work too but dewalt is a very good name.Price was right, and already have 1. It's still working, so..This angle grinder is outstanding and small enough to fit into the hard to fit places and powerful enough to do most any do it yourself construction project. We used it to cut out a lip of cement and also cut nails off that were in old siding fit safetyUse this to prepare damaged concrete and cement before repairing. Use as a cut off tool. Use to cut or shape tile during tile installations, etc…It is easy to handle, with the operate grinding wheel works like a charm.These are used in a commercial testing facility and are abused. They last better than most grinders.Cutting blad requires purchase of Type 1 guardI bought this to cut through a plastic barrel. In order to use a cutting blade, instead of a griding blade, the instructions say you need to attach a Type 1 blade guard. This is purchased separately. I would think the product would be better packaged if this type of guard were included. The part number is N042786.GoodI was doing a very large job with 2 rechargeable grinders and finally broke down and bought this. What a relief. Tons of power and I could stop worrying about battery life. Excellent value.Bought 2 of these in Feb. to see if they were any good. Seemed to be a pretty good grinder for the money other than having to put a longer electrical cord on, the oem 6 fter is far to short for my application. Now a little over 90 days later both grinders are junk, one quit running amongst other issues, bad switch, and the other gets so hot under load you can't hardly hold it. In the meantime the little Makita grinder I bought at the same time and sees just as much abuse as the DeWalts just keep perking along.I just now bought 4 more Makita 4 1/2". angle grindersI really like this model of Dewalt. This is my third of this model in my shop. They are nimble and take a beating. The guard is easy to use and the gear drive is serviceable. I even changed the brushes in my last one to keep it going.Can't go wrong for the price in my opinionPotente, ligera y confiable.Puntos en contra: UNO, es ruidosa, ya lo sabía porque no es la primer herramienta Dewalt en mi taller y DOS, el nivel de vibración es un poco elevado.No es perfecta pero sí recomendable.I loved my old dewalt grinder and used it hard for my tiling business but it was stolen. Amazon shipped a new one quick. I like the new guard but the different on off switch is taking time to get used to.
