I loved my silver grinder, but after a few uses the ground sizes become inconsistent - I had the salt grinder by the same mfg and loved it so, I purchased the pepper grinder. It may not be as attractive, but for someone who cooks a lot, I love how consistent and easy to use it is. Even for my 94 year old grandmother.I got really tired of the cheap twist grinders we had that were difficult to grip in the right spot to grind pepper. I've been eyeing the ratchet grinder for a while since seeing them on America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country. I bought the white one for course salt and the black one for peppercorns. Filling them is easy with the side door, you don't have to unscrew anything. The cylinder shape is easy to hold and the ratchet arm on the top is amazing and easy to use. Of course be gentle with the gears if it temporarily gets stuck on a peppercorn, all hand grinders can do that. I wish they had a cap or base stand for the bottom, I'm wiping up pepper dust frequently since they're open on the bottom.This mill is easy to load and I love the lever to grind. It is easy to useComfortable to hold and use. Es muy potente, muele perfectamente semillas tan pequeñitas como las de chia, de un modo uniforme, incluso sin tener que llegar a ponerlo al mínimo, y me parece mucho más cómodo el movimiento de mover la palanca de un lado al otro, que el que tenía antes, que necesitaba girarlo.Y además está muy bien pensado, tiene una pequeña tapa en el lateral, que se abre, resulta muuuy fácil y cómodo llenarlo.
